Born raised and still surviving in East London’s notorious Hackney aka Murder Mile. We see this young man of such articulate and smart dress sense. As a kid growing up in Hackney in his early days the G3 easily found the love for ragga music. This was easily achieved as his mates and surroundings heavily influenced him.
Learning to pick up the mic and rock it was different as he was the only Indian amongst many Jamaicans apart from his younger brother Addy Daddy. The love on the mic grew as the days went by. He was inspired and still is inspired by the greats such as Super Cat, Shabba Ranks, Junior Cat, Nico Demus, Junior Demus, Nardo Ranks, Cutty Ranks, Coca Tea, Sanchez, Tony Rebel, Mad Cobra, Ninja Man, Terry Ganzie, Papa San, Sister Nancy, Brigider Gerry, Monkey Man, Terror Fabolous, Major Mackeral, Daddy Skrew, Buju Banton, Bounti Killa and many more.
This was the pivitol and most important part in the uprising and learning curb of the vibe behind the G3 as and artist and as a movement.
A short time in 1993 saw the G3 leave the UK and venture into the USA (LA) where he resided for a year where he was exposed to Hip Hop & RnB at a great level and therefore he began to like Hip Hop & RnB, as it was always on the Box channel. This was the second pivotal point in his life, as he started mc-ing to Hip Hop and combining this with his ragga vocals to fuse some mad wicked vibes.
G3 picked up rapping through some of his inspirations at the core time of the 90's and to suggest a few from his collection of inspiration were the late great Notorious BIG aka Biggie Smalls, Method Man, Snoop Dogg, The Lost Boyz, Dr Dre, NWA, hence this was the beginning of something new for an artist to start crossing between 2 different genres of music.
Obviously this was and is extremely unique, as you do not come across artists everyday that are lyrically flexible in 2 genres of music.
2002 was the year where he started presenting his own show on the world wide online radio on "ShitzNitz.com". This is where he also received a lot of exposure and also reached out to a wider audience, not only in the UK but also overseas as far as the USA, India, Australia, and Denmark to name a few. His shows were highlighted as one of the best as he not only demonstarted well articulated debates / subjects but he also took the mic to freestyle his unique Ragga & Hip Hop skills to leave the listeners breatheless. he enjoyed a good 2 years before he was snapped up by an urban record label. G3 also returns to the online radio in 2005 which he dearly promised.
Now in 2004 he works seriously with a new urban record label “ShitzNitz Productionz” which are based in London UK.
His aim is somewhat different to others. He wants people to realise the reality in his music and be recognised as an ambassador of Streets of Hackney where life is difficult and real.
He believes that there are many people who portray a false and incorrect vibe in today’s music with this ego driven and money minded world that forget the real struggle which fully exists amongst many of us.
The G3 never wanted to record anything, hence why no one really has heard of him. This was because he loved being with a sound system and just being chilled out rather than all the hassle that comes with record. He also never believed what he had until the ShitzNitz Productionz (label) took him under his belt and demanded that he record a few tracks and to just watch what happens.
Now on this very present day the G3 is in the studio concentrating on his first ever single release. This is the time for the multi-talented artist to emerge and show the people dem that he is here.
The first and long awaited track from G3 would be "2 Shotz" which has a release date of early 2005!
Once again keep your ears peeled and get ready for the ride.
